My Reaction To: The New Gamera Trailer

So.... Gamera, the giant, fire-breathing flying-by-spinning-his-shell-while-flames-shoot-out-of-his-arms-and-legs-but-can-also-fly-by-turning-his-arms-into-fins-and-his-anatomy-is-actually-very-confusing-and-somewhat-inconsistent turtle who is the friend of all children and the guardian of the universe. Don't get me wrong I love the Gamera series but I don't understand why they're rebooting the series again. This could possibly be another sequel from the Millenium series which was awesome; but the new design suggests it's another reboot to the franchise. I'm starting to dislike all these reboots and remakes that have been coming out... Unless it fits a reboot of the original like the X-Files. The trailer looks really good, we have a new Gamera design, a new Gyaos design, and possibly a new monster (though there is always the chance it's a redesign of a previous monster). We have a new human main character, who thankfully isn't a (as Brandon Tenold describes them) Kenny. Just so you know, the very early Gamera films were geared towards children (apparently large amounts of blood and a beheading were considered child-friendly back then) and there Loren who would help Gamera save the day. Know I don't know if the original (Japanese dub) versions of the movies had them be annoying, but the altered (English dub) versions of these kids would not have a volume control. But I digress, the human main character starts out as a kid in the beginning of the trailer, but grows up later on, which provides a nice backstory for the trailer and giving a rough outline for the plot, unlike the Godzilla Resurgence trailer (curse/praise you Toho for being so good at keeping secrets!). Anyway, this looks like a really good movie and I'm excited for its release (which we still haven't had a release date for). Check out the trailer here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=17brZrkOmKI
