Finally. After all this time we finally get a rematch between The King of the Monsters and King Kong. But first a little clarification: the rumors about there being two version of the original film, one version ending with Godzilla's victory and one with Kong's victory, are entirely FALSE. The original ended with Kong high tailing it back to Faro island (in this continuity he was from Faro island, not Skull island) while Godzilla waited in the water. Godzilla did not die in the end, the reason why he didn't come up out of the water for air is because HE BREATHES UNDERWATER. This concludes my mini-rant/clarification. So this is big news for both Kong fans(K-fans?Kongies? What do you guys call yourselves?) and G-fans (like me) who are eager to see what happens when the two behemoths meet again. The film is going to take place in the Legendary continuity (The people who made the 2014 Godzilla movie and the new Skull Island movie coming out in 2017, followed by Godzilla 2 in 2018) which means it'll be more canon than the third film. I actually need to clarify some more... In King Kong vs Godzilla (the original) King Kong was bigger than he appeared in the original King King movie. Now I don't mean to offend and Kong fans (I'll save any insults for when the remake comes out(jk)) but we should consider... Could the King Kong in King Kong vs Godzilla actually be an entirely different creature? Think about it: he's from a different island, he's bigger than the original, he can conduct electricity through touch (on a side note: has anyone made an 'Unlimited Power' meme with him yet?), and the original is dead. We could just assume the in this continuity 'Kong' means 'ape' in the language used on Faro Island and he's called Kong because he's an ape. Actually, in King Kong vs Godzilla the name 'King Kong' is rarely used (it is used though) more often he's revered to as 'Kong'. So maybe he just happens to have the same name? But I digress, this news of a remake is awesome and I'm looking forward to it. Now if only they'll make a cinematic version of the 'Godzilla vs The Avengers' comic ( yes that is real, look it up) or maybe revive the 'Godzilla vs Batman' movie idea real (it was a scrapped idea, but it was real. Look in the Cutting Room section of Toho Kingdom)?

Seriously though, what do King Kong fans call themselves?
